Brittany Street; Indianapolis native with an insurmountable passion for speaking her mind, and exhibiting her soul through her lyrics. Aside from Bonds Valentino and Daytona 5 Bill, I've never had the pleasure to work with someone so dedicated and focused on the the task of diligently putting out such good music. I feel truly blessed to have been chosen to work on her project "SoundCheck the EP" alongside her. Would you say I'm biased? XD lol. Take a Listen.

I'd like to welcome you all to my first blog - my alias is Saki XL, and I am an aspiring music producer from Fayetteville, North Carolina. I'm a 18 year pianist who can't read a lick of music, but can play most melodies by ear, given a few minutes to toy with it. I graduated high school in 2001, married my wife Kristen in 2002, and joined the military soon after. My daughter (Jade) was born on September 17th, 2003, and my newest daughter (Raynah) will be born September 2009. I spent 2003 - 2007 in Suffolk, England and returned home in April of 2007.
My music life is generally the section I'm involved in the most. I received a Roland XP-60 Synthesizer from my mother on April 25th, 1999 after having made several compositions with a computer keyboard and some General MIDI sequencing programs. Needless to say, I needed that board more than I would ever realized, as it formed the basis of my production style. I don't sample (often), but am more than capable of doing so. When I started then, however, sampling was foreign to me and I didn't have a clue how to do it. So I never tried until 2004 when I bought a Roland Fantom X6. Believe me, the sampling topic is a whole blog by itself. Inspiration derived from none other than Mr. Timothy Mosely himself, Dr. Dre, Sean Dre, EarthTone III, and a small variety of other producers from that time. Another long story get to.
In 2001, I formed a production company labeled "Instrumentally Sick Productions" (later to be renamed "Instrumentally Sick Evolution", or "ISE Productions"). Over the course of the next 5 years, I formed strong bonded affiliations with other producers to include Trauma da Wicked One, SolEternity, J Swade, IzZy BeatZ, ShoDown (RockIt Productions), iNkredible (Legacy High Productions), and J Malice. Needless to say, the battle to pull ourselves into the spotlight forces us to each take a different road, each hoping to get there and bring the others on. One of the things I learned early in this competitive music world - it takes more than just skill to progress and become successful.
That's a quick summary of some of the things music-wise I've gone through and done. I am still very well into music, though the newer music is coming out in fewer spurts than before. At the moment I'm playing a lot of Street Fighter 4 to gain the skill to compete competitively. I'll try to keep those blogs separate, lol. If you haven't listened already, my music site is http://www.soundclick.com/sakixl. Feel free to listen and leave comments.
